Creating A Wave of Hope

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Surf Bar is introducing a BRAND NEW base: Wave of Hope!

This base, made from guava and pitaya, is bright pink and will be available during the month of October.

50% of Profit to Susan G. Komen

Wave of Hope will be available exclusively during the month of October at all Surf Bar locations. 50% of profits from Wave of Hope sales will be donated directly to Susan G. Komen, the world’s leading nonprofit dedicated to ending breast cancer. They fund breakthrough research, provide support for patients, and work to make sure everyone has access to the care they need.

According to the American Cancer Society, “the average risk of a woman in the United States developing breast cancer sometime in her life is about 13%. This means there is a 1 in 8 chance she will develop breast cancer.”

Our customers can make a difference simply by ordering the Wave of Hope base. Surf Bar will take care of the donation at no extra cost to the customer! You can find a location near you by visiting our locations page.

Dedications to Loved Ones

When a bowl with the Wave of Hope base is ordered, customers have the opportunity to dedicate their bowl to a loved one who has been impacted by breast cancer. Pink breast cancer awareness stickers will be added to bowls with the personalized name written down one side. We want Wave of Hope to be about more than just a donation. Let every bowl serve as a representation of hope for a future with better treatments and more resources for those we love.

The Heart Behind the Bowls

By giving to Susan G. Komen during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we are looking to help fuel research, spread hope, and support those battling breast cancer today.

“Our mission has always been about more than açaí bowls, it’s about people,” said Tyler Huebert, CEO at Surf Bar. “With Wave of Hope, we want to honor survivors, spread awareness with a pink product, and contribute to the life-saving research and resources Komen provides.”

Our greatest desire is that you join us in creating a Wave of Hope this October.
